Virtual Individual Therapy

A space to catch your breath, reset, and move toward a hopeful future.

Individual Therapy for Adults

I am passionate about using effective treatment approaches, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, simply because it works for many people. This approach is centered around applying specific strategies to your day to day life to move you toward your values and goals.

I help with the following issues:

Low, anxious, or detached mood
Low energy
Sleep issues
Poor job satisfaction
Burnout
Trauma symptoms
Women’s issues

Perfectionism
Low self-Esteem
Life transitions
Communication skills
Emotion regulation skills
Stressful medical conditions that impact quality of life

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. When appropriate, I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy strategies to supplement our work. My approach is culturally sensitive, strength-based, and LGBTQIAP+ affirming.

Individual Therapy for Healthcare Providers

Working in medicine often involves managing high stress in high pressure situations. The emotional impact can be significant. I specialize in providing therapy for healthcare providers who are struggling with burnout or hope to prevent burnout, in addition to the issues listed above.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”

Common Questions

We will set up a 15 minute free consultation over the phone where I can learn about what brings you to therapy. I’ll make sure that what you’re wanting out of therapy is within my area of expertise. I can also answer any questions you may have.

I use doxy.me as my telehealth platform because it is easy, free for you to use, and HIPPA compliant. It does not involve you to download or register for anything. I’ll simply send you a link to login before our visit.

I am currently self-pay only. I am happy to provide a bill for you to give to your insurance for out of network reimbursement.

The majority of insurance companies require a diagnosis from the DSM-5. Many people who seek therapy do not have a clinical diagnosis. Some examples include burnout, relationship issues and personal growth.

With self-pay we will have complete control over the frequency of sessions and you can choose to participate in therapy as long as you are receiving benefit, rather than this being dictated by insurance.

I am a psychologist and do not prescribe medication. If medication is something you are interested in, your primary care provider is the first place to check. I’m happy to assist with this process. Psychiatry may also be an option in your area.
